Blade:
8" x 1 1/2" x +3/16" of hand forged W2 high carbon tool steel with polished forge finish, flat ground bevels are hand sanded to 1200 grit then etched and polished to show off the hamon.
Handle/fittings:
230mm of spalted Red Maple with epoxied jute-wrapping and a moose hide lanyard and ebony bead. The wrought iron tsuba and spacer have been heat textured, etched and polished, accompanied by a copper hibaki and seppa (forward only).
Sheath:
Fully leather lined 6/7 oz veg tanned leather, with a spalted Red Maple inlay (with epoxied jute wrap). The moose hide sageo passes through an inlaid, vertically oriented kurikata. The sageo can be used as traditionally designed, or can be looped around the handle/tsuba to more securely hold the blade in the sheath. Belt loop slits on the sheath back offer an alternative carry option.
